Powered Pallet Truck Driver

About the role

Join the world’s largest logistics company as a Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) Driver. You will operate MHE to move palletised stock efficiently, ensuring on‑time service and high‑quality customer experience within DHL Supply Chain South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a Powered Pallet Truck to transport stock between locations according to operational needs.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) and work instructions while maintaining safety and hygiene standards.
• Perform daily MHE checks, report defects promptly, and ensure equipment is used correctly.
• Support stock counts, pick orders accurately, and meet picking KPI targets.
• Maintain pallet stacking standards and prevent damage to goods.
• Document any non‑conformities related to merchandise or unsafe acts.
• Participate in change initiatives and additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Flexible to work extra hours or overtime when operational demands arise.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow SOPs, health‑and‑safety policies, and ISO standards.
• Team player who contributes to a productive work environment.

Required skills

• Operating Powered Pallet Trucks (MHE) safely and efficiently.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Operating System (WMOS) or similar warehouse software.
• Understanding of SOPs, safety checklists, and ISO quality standards.
