IT Infrastructure Specialist

About the role

The IT Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining the organisation's technical environment. The role ensures that ICT systems, infrastructure and services are reliable, secure and aligned with business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and monitor servers, storage and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Maintain hardware and software asset lifecycle, update the CMDB and achieve ≥99.5% monthly uptime.
• Configure and manage firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP and VLANs across all sites and remote users.
• Administer Microsoft Azure and on‑premises virtualisation, support hybrid cloud migrations, and manage cloud cost governance.
• Implement infrastructure security policies, patch management, vulnerability assessments and IAM controls (Active Directory, Azure AD) in line with ISO 27001.
• Coordinate disaster recovery and business continuity procedures, including backup testing and documentation.
