Head of Finance – Strategic Finance Leader

About the role

The organization seeks a strategic finance leader to partner directly with the CEO and steer the entire finance function across the group. This senior role combines high‑level strategic leadership with hands‑on technical finance, governance, and executive partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Support growth, profitability and long‑term planning.
• Partner with the CEO and executive team on group strategy, business planning and key commercial decisions.
• Provide commercial decision support on pricing, margins, channels, credit, stock, commissions and business model changes.
• Lead financial planning, investment evaluation, performance management and strategic initiatives.
• Prepare consolidated group annual financial statements.
• Own and lead the annual audit process.
• Manage treasury, banking relationships, cash flow and working capital.
• Develop and lead the finance team while maintaining strong internal controls.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of progressive finance leadership experience, including group reporting exposure.
• Strong technical accounting expertise with experience in consolidated reporting.
• Proven track record of managing external audits.
• Commercially minded with strategic thinking capability.
• B.Com Accounting (or similar) and CA (SA) qualification.
