Youth Sports Tour Consultant

About the role

The Youth Sports Tour Consultant will join the travel division of a dynamic organisation, designing and managing inbound and outbound sports and leisure tours for schools, universities and clubs. The role combines sales, operations and client service, ensuring seamless travel experiences from quotation through to execution.

Key responsibilities

• Design, quote, book and manage youth sports and leisure tours.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound journeys for educational and sports groups.
• Prepare costings, proposals, itineraries, vouchers, rooming lists and reconciliations.
• Maintain client communication and deliver high-quality service throughout the journey.
• Build and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best rates.
• Support product development with fresh ideas aligned to client demand.
• Handle complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with internal operations, sales and marketing teams.
• Travel with youth groups when required.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• Travel & Tourism qualification.
• 3–5 years experience in the tourism industry (inbound & outbound).
• Previous experience working in a school or youth environment.
• Proficiency with Tourplan (essential) and intermediate Amadeus ticketing.
