Local Sourcing Manager

About the role

Nestlé is seeking a Local Sourcing Manager to lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for locally managed categories. Based in Bryanston, you will guide a team of strategic buyers, ensuring alignment with Nestlé’s Global Procurement standards and driving cost‑effective, innovative solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach strategic buyers to define and implement sourcing strategies for locally managed categories.
• Develop deep category knowledge and ensure the team has the required capabilities.
• Conduct supplier market, category and supply‑risk analyses, and build total cost of ownership (TCO) models.
• Plan and execute negotiation events to secure optimal contracts and commercial agreements.
• Ensure compliance with Nestlé’s Corporate Business Principles, Procurement Policy, Supplier Code and best‑practice standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate category plans into local budgets and price‑planning processes.
• Incorporate innovation, renovation and post‑award cost‑improvement initiatives from suppliers into Nestlé’s product development cycles.
• Partner with Supplier Relationship Management experts to lead contract SLA reviews and maintain effective contract administration (e.g., SAP contracts, master data).

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 7‑10 years of procurement or sourcing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of delivering competitive advantage through effective sourcing strategies.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in market, category and risk analysis.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
