About the role
The Building Company is looking for a Workshop Administrator to keep its Centurion workshop running smoothly. You will handle all administrative, scheduling and paperwork tasks so that technicians can focus on delivering quality work.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day workshop administration, track jobs and stock, and keep compliance and safety records up to date.
- Book jobs, assign technicians and update work orders in the system.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding job status, quotes and collections.
- Monitor tools, parts and consumables, raising purchase orders when stock is low.
- Log job cards, service reports, invoices and orders.
- Maintain safety files, training records and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Generate weekly and monthly reports on job turnaround times, costs and technician productivity.
- Perform system administration using Pastel and Excel.
Required profile
- Matriculation plus an admin diploma or certificate; NQF Level 5 in Office/Admin is a plus.
- 1‑3 years of administrative experience, preferably in a technical or engineering environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for dealing with technicians, managers and suppliers.
- Organised, detail‑oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks under pressure.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Solid MS Office skills.
- Experience with Pastel accounting software.
