Warehouse & Operations Team Leader

About the role

The Warehouse & Operations Team Leader will oversee daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient picking, packing, and dispatch while maintaining high quality and safety standards. This role combines hands‑on supervision of drivers, store staff, assemblers and painters with strategic planning of inventory and delivery processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the operations team through daily meetings, coaching and training.
• Plan, schedule and delegate workloads to meet sales order requirements.
• Monitor inventory control, stock transfers and SAP records for accuracy.
• Manage preparation of delivery documentation, route planning and driver productivity.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, customer complaints and delivery issues.
• Act as Health and Safety Representative, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Oversee daily dispatch scheduling, trip logs and delivery note sign‑offs.
• Provide after‑hours support for customers and sales representatives.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• 2–3 years of experience in a technical environment managing warehouse or store operations.
• Experience leading a team that includes drivers, store staff, assemblers and painters.
• Knowledge of inventory control, dispatch procedures and health & safety responsibilities.

Required skills

• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP/Warehouse Management Systems; SAP is advantageous.
