Vehicle Team Leader – New & Used Car Sales

About the role

Halfway Durban Central is seeking energetic leaders to head its New Vehicle and Used Vehicle sales teams. The role involves driving sales performance, coaching staff, and ensuring an excellent customer experience at the dealership.

Key responsibilities

• Actively engage with prospective customers, generate leads and close sales to meet or exceed monthly targets.
• Develop an in‑depth understanding of the car inventory and use that knowledge to recommend suitable vehicles.
• Conduct test drives, highlighting vehicle features and answering customer questions confidently.
• Provide accurate information on costs, optional add‑ons and pricing structures to support informed purchasing decisions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of stock availability to guide customers toward the best options.

Required profile

• Minimum education: Grade 12, Marketing Diploma or other tertiary qualification, plus a valid driver’s licence.
• At least 3 years of proven vehicle sales experience.
• Friendly, cheerful and vibrant personality with strong interpersonal skills.
• Approachable and self‑motivated, able to work independently and lead a team.
• Ability to understand and communicate pricing, financing and add‑on options effectively.
