About the role

Starke Ayres is building a Talent Pool of Trolley Assistants to support its retail operations in Cape Town. This position is not an immediate vacancy but offers candidates the chance to register interest for upcoming short‑term contracts. The role focuses on ensuring trolleys are readily available, safe, and clean for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Make sure trolleys are positioned for easy customer access.
• Inspect trolleys regularly for damage or wear and report any issues.
• Maintain clean trolley bays, collection points, and surrounding areas.
• Assist customers in locating or returning trolleys to enhance their shopping experience.

Required profile

• Completed Grade 12 (mandatory for candidates over 16 years old).
• Availability to work on weekends and public holidays.
• Junior‑level work experience or willingness to learn on the job.

Required skills

• Basic ability to inspect and report equipment condition.
• Customer‑service orientation.
