Trade Partner Travel Coordinator

About the role

Legendary Expeditions is seeking a Trade Partner Travel Coordinator to lead our trade partner engagement strategy. Based in Cape Town with a hybrid work model, you will act as the primary point of contact for agents, design bespoke itineraries across East and Southern Africa, and help build our Familiarisation (FAM) department from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage trade partner relationships and make on‑the‑spot decisions.
• Conceptualise and establish the structure of the FAM department.
• Communicate effectively with senior sales leadership and the Head of Department.
• Design and deliver tailored itineraries showcasing luxury camps and third‑party logistics.
• Provide expert advice on camp portfolios, routing, and supplier logistics.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end bookings from initial enquiry to departure.
• Prepare accurate quotes, upsell experiences, and negotiate partner rates.
• Maintain meticulous booking files and ensure flawless execution of all logistics.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with at least 3 years in luxury inbound travel.
• Background in Destination Management, preferably with Southern Africa experience.
• Deep product knowledge of East & Southern Africa, especially Tanzania and Kenya.
• Proven ability to build itineraries and advise trade partners confidently.
• Strong communication skills in English; additional European languages are a plus.
• Comfortable managing upward and thriving under pressure.
