Technical Writer – Hybrid (Pretoria)

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Writer to join a leading software and insurtech business. Working hybrid from Pretoria, you will create clear, engaging, and accurate documentation for our product suite, supporting software releases and enhancing the knowledge base.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain high‑quality technical product documentation, including user guides, manuals, workflows, release notes and configuration guides.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, QA, business analysts and other stakeholders to gather information and understand product functionality.
• Transform complex technical concepts into concise, audience‑appropriate content.
• Review and improve existing documentation and ensure information architecture and standards are up to date.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support cross‑functional software development teams.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Technical Writer, Documentation Specialist, Technical Author, Technical Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in a software development environment.
• Proven ability to produce technical documentation for software products.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile processes.
• Exceptional written English communication skills and strong attention to detail.
