Team Leader – Capitec Direct

About the role

The Capitec Direct department is seeking an energetic Team Leader to drive the virtual sales of its banking products and services. You will lead a high‑performing team, ensuring targets are met while maintaining a client‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team selling Capitec products through virtual channels.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and performance metrics.
• Foster a client‑centric, high‑commitment culture within the department.
• Ensure compliance with Capitec policies, procedures and relevant banking legislation.
• Monitor and improve team performance using business performance drivers.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience working at Capitec, preferably in a sales or customer‑facing role.
• Previous supervisory or management experience leading a sales team.
• Understanding of banking or financial principles and Capitec products.
• Grade 12 qualification; a Diploma in Business Management or Commerce is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Computer literacy: MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
• Attention to detail and ability to work within regulatory frameworks.
