Storeman – Stock Control & Forklift Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Storeman to oversee stock control, receiving and dispatch of materials and equipment at our Cape Town site. The role is a 12‑month fixed‑term position focused on maintaining an organised, safe and efficient store environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and dispatch stock, equipment, and materials.
• Check deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Assist with stocktaking and inventory control.
• Ensure safe stacking and storage of stock.
• Maintain a clean and organised store area.
• Operate a forklift for moving large stock items.
• Assist with loading and off‑loading delivery vehicles.
• Process delivery documentation and submit to management/accounts.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar storeman role with references.
• Valid Forklift Operator Certificate.
• Computer literate (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Good organisational and communication skills.
