Social / Digital Media Marketing Specialist

About the role

We are a dynamic, growing company looking for a creative and analytical Social / Digital Media Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team in Sandton, Johannesburg. This hybrid position offers the chance to shape our online presence, engage diverse South African audiences, and drive performance across multiple social platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage monthly content calendars for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X (Twitter).
• Write compelling captions, blog articles, and email newsletters that align with brand voice and SEO best practices.
• Respond to comments, messages, and reviews, fostering an active online community through polls and interactive campaigns.
• Plan, launch, monitor, and optimise paid social advertising campaigns, managing budgets and improving ROI.
• Track, analyse, and report on campaign performance using Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, and similar tools.
• Stay up‑to‑date with platform algorithms, trends, and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of proven experience in social media management or digital marketing.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to tailor content for diverse South African cultures.
• Experience managing paid social campaigns and interpreting performance metrics.
