Social & Content Manager – South Africa

About the role

Colgate-Palmolive is seeking a Social & Content Manager to lead the creation and execution of localized digital content and social media strategies across Sub‑Sahara Africa. The role will ensure brand consistency, drive community engagement, and support eCommerce growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a content and social media roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee creation, adaptation, and validation of content for social platforms and eCommerce product detail pages.
• Act as primary liaison between Brand Marketing, global content hubs, and external agencies.
• Use data‑driven insights to audit content integrity and optimise social engagement.
• Manage a social media calendar, “always‑on” and promotional content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.
• Coordinate SEO‑optimized web content, thumbnail and PDP adaptations, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and manage content budget, agency invoicing, and resource planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of proven digital marketing experience.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, eCommerce, and SEO best practices.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage external agency partners.
