Senior Visual Graphic Designer

About the role

HelloKindred is looking for a Senior Visual Graphic Designer to shape and elevate the creative direction of a global website. This remote‑first position (with a preference for candidates based in Cape Town for studio collaboration) will focus on delivering high‑impact visual solutions within an established design system.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the established creative direction into compelling web and digital visuals.
• Create high‑quality digital assets that boost engagement and reinforce brand presence.
• Develop designs using the existing design system and predefined components.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure visual work aligns with broader design and content strategies.
• Art‑direct website visuals, including imagery, layouts, and supporting graphics.
• Design thought‑leadership materials such as downloadable PDFs and documents.
• Build and maintain libraries of web‑ready assets for scalable use.
• Leverage AI tools where appropriate to improve efficiency.
• Contribute to the evolution of templates and visual approaches in line with brand guidelines.
• Support additional studio design tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Visual Graphic Designer with a strong, diverse portfolio.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑quality digital and web‑based design work.
• Strong conceptual thinking, attention to detail, and refined craft.
• Experience working within design systems and structured digital environments.
• Good understanding of digital design principles and visual storytelling for web.
• Familiarity with Figma and component‑based design workflows.
• Ability to interpret and extend established creative direction.
• Experience designing thought‑leadership or editorial‑style content is a plus.
