Senior Tax Manager – AMEP Region

About the role

The Senior Tax Manager for the AMEP region will support the Head of Global Tax in overseeing all tax matters across the region. This role ensures compliance with the group’s tax governance, delivers accurate tax filings and provides advisory support for transactions, restructurings and new investments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with the group’s tax governance framework and internal controls.
• Prepare, review and file corporate income tax, GST/VAT, withholding tax and Pillar 2 returns for all AMEP entities.
• Coordinate tax audits, disputes and inquiries with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage external advisors and support BEPS implementation and related filings.
• Partner with business units on restructuring, ETR planning, liquidations, acquisitions and other projects, ensuring correct tax documentation and journal entries.
• Conduct periodic health checks of tax processes, payments and reporting, and deliver training to finance teams.
• Prepare and review tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, statutory accounts, tax notes and board papers.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in direct and indirect tax compliance, including Pillar 2 and BEPS.
• Proven ability to lead tax projects and advise senior business stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of tax accounting, provisions and deferred tax calculations.
• Commitment to ethical standards and the SJ Group values.
