Senior Manager, Content Delivery

About the role

2U, the organisation behind the edX learning platform, is looking for a Senior Manager to lead content delivery for its Executive Education programmes. Based in Cape Town, you will ensure seamless, high‑quality execution of online courses in partnership with global universities.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end course implementation, including environment setup, curriculum synchronization, and module release scheduling.
• Manage learner enrolment, dynamic cohort balancing, and deployment of instructional content such as discussion prompts and welcome messages.
• Establish multi‑tiered quality‑assurance protocols, audit production environments, and handle delivery risk and platform escalations.
• Direct integration of custom tools and third‑party technologies, including identity verification and social annotation platforms.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, champion continuous‑improvement initiatives, and explore AI‑assisted workflow enhancements.
• Collaborate with vendors, track SLA performance, and provide executive‑level reporting to senior academic and operational leaders.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of experience in online education operations, ed‑tech, or complex technical service delivery.
• At least three years in a management capacity leading teams and projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Education or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
