Sales Consultant – Accounting, Tax & Business Services

About the role

We are looking for a confident, relationship‑driven Sales Consultant to join a Cape Town‑based bookkeeping and accounting firm. You will promote a full suite of financial services—including bookkeeping, tax compliance, payroll, business advisory and Xero support—to individuals, entrepreneurs, small businesses and larger organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business by following up on leads, referrals, website enquiries and proactive outreach.
• Promote the firm’s accounting, tax, payroll, compliance and Xero‑related services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
• Conduct needs‑based conversations, recommend suitable services and convert prospects into retainer or ad‑hoc clients.
• Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities within the existing client base.
• Prepare and follow up on quotes, maintaining accurate records in the CRM.
• Hand over accepted quotes and client information to internal accounting, tax and payroll teams.
• Provide regular updates on sales activity, pipeline progress and client feedback.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Relevant qualification in sales, marketing or business administration.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to understand and clearly explain a range of financial services.
• Self‑motivated with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.

Required skills

• Xero (experience with Xero‑related services).
