Retail Supervisor

About the role

Our Johannesburg branch in Kempton Park is seeking an experienced Retail Supervisor to lead the operations team, ensure efficient distribution, and maintain high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and train day‑shift and night‑shift operational staff.
• Monitor daily activities, minimise shortages, misroutes and damages, and ensure accurate handovers.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly operational reports on time.
• Coordinate with the fleet manager, third‑party linehaul providers and booking clients to optimise vehicle utilisation.
• Enforce uniform compliance, overtime monitoring and disciplinary actions.
• Support the Customer Service department to resolve queries and maintain customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Grade 12 certificate or higher.
• 3‑5 years of operational and retail distribution experience.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and organisational skills.
• Reliability, punctuality and willingness to work overtime.
• Own transport and vehicle/fleet knowledge.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fundamentals of finance and accounting.
• HR and payroll knowledge.
