Remote PHP Developer (South Africa)

About the role

We are looking for a resourceful and proactive PHP Developer to join our fully remote team. The role is open to candidates who already reside in South Africa and are legally eligible to work there. You will contribute to maintaining existing applications, adding new features, and building fresh solutions. You will also have the opportunity to leverage AI‑assisted development tools to boost productivity and stay at the forefront of modern development practices.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, feature enhancements, and new development tasks as required.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into clear technical specifications.
• Write clean, well‑designed code following best practices and software design principles.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in PHP development and software design.
• Strong understanding of MySQL and relational database concepts.
• Proactive, innovative mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
