Registered Nurse – Ward (Winelands)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our ward team in the Winelands region. The role focuses on delivering safe, evidence‑based patient care before, during and after surgery while supporting clinical governance.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, execute and supervise patient care throughout the peri‑operative period.
• Monitor physiological parameters and provide post‑operative treatment until patients recover.
• Maintain accurate nursing care plans and documentation in line with SANC and DOH standards.
• Manage stock, ensure infection‑prevention practices and uphold a safe therapeutic environment.
• Mentor junior staff, facilitate learning and promote interdisciplinary communication.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent with a Diploma in General Nursing.
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, including post‑operative and surgical care.
• Experience in a private hospital setting is advantageous.
