Registered Nurse / Independent Clinical Technologist – Dialysis Practitioner

About the role

Renal Care Holdings is looking for a qualified Registered Nurse or Independent Clinical Technologist to join its multidisciplinary dialysis team in Kathu. The successful candidate will deliver safe, evidence‑based dialysis care while supporting patient self‑management and continuous quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality haemodialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis treatments in line with professional and regulatory standards.
• Operate and maintain dialysis machines and water treatment systems.
• Educate and counsel patients on chronic kidney disease management and self‑care.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality‑improvement projects, and monitor patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, person‑centred care.

Required profile

• Degree in Nursing or BTech in Clinical Technology.
• Registered with SANC as a Nurse/Midwife or with HPCSA as a Clinical Technologist (independent practice).
• 1‑2 years experience in a haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis unit.
• Knowledge of relevant health legislation (National Health Act, POPIA, OHS, SANC/HPCSA ethical rules).
• Understanding of quality improvement and risk management principles.
