About the role

The Marketing Manager will lead the regional marketing team in creating and executing integrated B2C and B2B marketing plans. The role works closely with Consumer, Vodacom Business, FTTH and Vodacom Financial Services to align strategies with business objectives and drive brand awareness, customer engagement and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Consumer, Business, FTTH and Financial Services sales teams to identify revenue and market‑share opportunities.
  • Develop an annual integrated marketing plan covering all product lines.
  • Generate actionable insights through market research, performance analysis, customer segmentation and competitor benchmarking.
  • Conduct post‑campaign evaluations using ROMI and PIR, and provide management reporting.
  • Manage the regional publicity budget and report on spend.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Execute external affairs engagement plans, including Vodacom Foundation initiatives.
  • Lead, coach and develop the marketing team to exceed business targets.

Required profile

  • 3‑year degree or National Diploma in Business Management or Marketing.
  • Minimum 8 years of FMCG/Consumer marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Telecommunications experience is advantageous.
  • Own reliable vehicle for business‑related travel.

Required skills

  • Strong analytical mindset.
  • Knowledge of QlikSense or other BI tools.
  • Understanding of customer appreciation metrics and consumer segmentation.
  • Strategic and conceptual thinking.
  • Leadership and cross‑functional team management.
  • Project management (time, quality, cost).
  • Digital marketing principles.
  • Experience working with agencies and applying design‑thinking principles.
