Quality Supervisor – Renewable Energy (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to lead quality management across large‑scale renewable energy construction projects in South Africa. The role will be based in Cape Town with regular travel to sites throughout the region, overseeing quality from planning through commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and supervise project quality systems on construction sites.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, environmental and social standards, and contractor quality systems.
• Support project engineers and site teams with quality‑related requirements.
• Coordinate and monitor contractor quality performance and documentation.
• Conduct audits of contractor systems and project quality plans.
• Maintain comprehensive quality control records and site documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Assist during commissioning to verify that all quality requirements are met before handover.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Civil or Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Minimum 10 years experience in a quality supervisory or officer role, preferably in renewable energy construction.
• Industry‑specific qualifications or certifications; ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is advantageous.
• South African citizenship preferred.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (read, write, speak).

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office 365.
• Experience using SharePoint for document control.
