Quality Food & Safety Coordinator

About the role

Our client is seeking a proactive Quality Food & Safety Coordinator to lead food safety compliance and quality initiatives within a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment. The role is based in Bloemfontein and focuses on ensuring that all production processes meet the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate departmental compliance with HACCP, PRP and ISO 22000:2018 standards.
• Lead daily, weekly and monthly food‑safety talks and quality intervention sessions.
• Implement and monitor Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and prerequisite programmes (PRP).
• Review and verify CCP monitoring records and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Prepare and report on Inspection, Measuring & Testing Equipment (IMTE) results.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in FMCG food‑safety roles.
• Knowledge of the grain‑milling industry is an advantage.
• B.Sc. or National Diploma in Food Technology or Food Science (preferred).
• Strong understanding of ISO 22000, ISO 22002, HACCP, VACCP and TACCP.
• Basic proficiency with MS Office.
