Quality Coordinator

About the role

Alfred H Knight is looking for a Quality Coordinator to join its Rustenburg laboratory team. The role will manage day-to-day quality administrative tasks to support the analytical services objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist laboratory management in maintaining ISO 17025 accreditation.
• Manage and control the AHK Quality Management System, accreditation publications and related documentation.
• Maintain the audit schedule, support internal audits and handle improvement actions and non-conformances.
• Monitor closure of corrective actions, non-conformances and client complaints.
• Ensure documentation and records for non-conforming work, complaints and preventive actions are kept up to date.
• Coordinate laboratory document control and keep the asset register current.
• Support PTS/RR programmes, update Z-scores and meet reporting deadlines.
• Participate in quality meetings, management review preparation and risk register updates.

Required profile

• Grade 12 with Maths, Chemistry and Science, plus an Analytical Chemistry Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a quality role within a commercial laboratory, preferably supporting ISO 17025 accreditation.
• Functional knowledge of QMS practices and accreditation requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, numeracy and computer literacy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
