Project Officer: Project Development (FTC)

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Project Officer to join the Project Development team of TotalEnergies Renewables Southern Africa. The role supports the end‑to‑end administration of renewable energy projects, including solar PV, wind and energy storage, ensuring smooth execution of governance, documentation and reporting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day Project Development processes such as site securisation, permitting, offtake, financing and contractor selection.
• Assist Project Developers with project governance, stakeholder engagement, scope definition, cost control, risk management, quality, procurement, communications and H3SE considerations.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, track actions and maintain project data rooms.
• Establish and maintain SharePoint data rooms in collaboration with the PMO team.
• Compile and contribute to PowerPoint slide decks for operational and A&C reporting.
• Support compliance programmes, including anti‑corruption due‑diligence, documentation of financing, environmental and technical records.
• Assist legal and finance teams with contract administration and corporate document management during the development stage.

Required profile

• Highly organized and proactive with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience supporting project development in the renewable energy sector is preferred.
