Project Manager - Renewables - Johannesburg

About the role

Our client seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead renewable energy projects from planning through to completion, operating from their Midrand office. The role requires strong project, commercial, contractual and stakeholder management experience within the renewable energy, EPC, construction or infrastructure sector.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring and close‑out of renewable energy projects.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources and reporting.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants and clients.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Ensure contractual, regulatory, quality and HSE compliance.
• Support procurement, commissioning and project handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related field.
• 8–10 years of project management experience, preferably in renewable energy, EPC, construction or infrastructure.
• Proven delivery of Solar PV, Wind Energy and/or Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
