Project Management Intern – Johannesburg

About the role

This internship offers hands‑on experience supporting technology‑enabled projects. You will work closely with project managers to keep plans, data, and communications on track while developing core project‑management skills.

Key responsibilities

• Assist daily coordination of projects, ensuring timelines and actions stay on track.
• Maintain project plans, trackers, and dashboards using Excel and Monday.com.
• Collect, consolidate, and perform basic interpretation of project and operational data for reporting.
• Prepare status updates, reports, and meeting materials for teams and stakeholders.
• Capture meeting actions, risks, issues, and dependencies and follow up with owners.
• Log and track requests, issues, or queries in Monday.com and Freshdesk.
• Organise meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, minute taking, and action tracking.
• Support project managers and team leads with general administration across multiple initiatives.
• Contribute ideas to improve project processes, templates, and ways of working.
• Participate in project reviews and retrospectives to learn from outcomes.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a qualification in Project Management or a related field.
• Strong interest in project management, technology, data, and reporting.
• Exposure to coordination, administration, reporting, analytics, or team‑based environments is advantageous.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets, digital tools, and data trackers.
