Project Coordinator

About the role

SurTech is looking for a detail‑oriented Project Coordinator to support the planning, execution and delivery of software implementation projects. The role ensures projects stay within scope, on schedule and on budget while acting as a bridge between the implementation team and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing project charters, schedules and other artefacts in collaboration with the Head of Projects and Project Managers.
• Collaborate with government agencies or departments to capture requirements and expectations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date project documentation, including plans, progress reports, meeting minutes and action items.
• Track tasks, milestones and deliverables, follow up with team members and escalate delays.
• Facilitate communication by scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and distributing minutes.
• Identify risks and issues, support mitigation strategies and monitor risk registers.
• Maintain positive client relationships, address inquiries and provide regular status updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least three years of proven experience in project coordination, preferably in software implementation.
• Project management certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP, Agile, PRINCE2) is desirable.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and processes.
• Ability to work overtime when required and possess a valid driver’s licence with own transport.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using project management tools and software.
