Professional Structural Engineer

About the role

An established engineering consultancy is seeking a professionally registered Structural Engineer to join its growing team. The role is suited to an experienced professional with strong technical expertise in structural design, project leadership, and client engagement, capable of delivering high‑quality engineering solutions across a range of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage structural engineering projects from concept through to completion.
• Prepare and review structural designs, feasibility studies, and value‑engineering solutions.
• Provide technical oversight and ensure compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
• Mentor and support junior engineers within the team.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting budgets, quality standards, and deadlines.
• Conduct site visits and attend client meetings as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Proven experience designing concrete, steel, and load‑bearing structures for commercial and multi‑storey building projects.
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering and registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng).
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel for project activities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as Prokon or similar finite‑element programs.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
• Competence with Microsoft Office applications.
