Professional Nurse - Recovery Room

About the role

Mediclinic is seeking a Professional Nurse to work in the Recovery Room, delivering safe, comprehensive, and high‑quality nursing care to post‑operative patients. You will join a multidisciplinary team focused on patient safety and a positive experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi‑professional team.
• Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.

Required profile

• Essential: Degree or Diploma in General Nursing.
• Desired: Midwifery qualification; postgraduate certificate or diploma in a relevant specialty.
• Essential experience: None.
• Desired experience: 1 year of post‑graduate qualification experience in a similar specialised unit.
• Basic life support training (ACLS, ATLS, PALS) for specialised wards.
