Pharmacy Nurse

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacy Nurse to deliver professional nursing services within a pharmacy environment. The role involves patient assessments, chronic disease management, health education, and basic clinical procedures while adhering to nursing regulations and pharmacy policies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and basic health screenings.
• Monitor and manage chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and asthma.
• Administer prescribed medications, injections, and vaccinations.
• Provide wound care, dressings, and point‑of‑care tests (e.g., pregnancy, blood glucose, cholesterol, BMI, peak flow).
• Identify patients needing referral to a doctor or specialist.
• Educate patients on disease prevention, medication adherence, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Maintain accurate patient records, ensure informed consent, and protect confidentiality.
• Prepare clinic reports, manage appointment schedules, and support quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) with current registration on the relevant Nursing Council.
• 2–5 years of nursing experience, preferably in primary health care, retail pharmacy, or clinic settings.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; immunisation certification preferred.
• Primary Health Care qualification is an advantage.
