Packaging Team Leader

About the role

The Packaging Team Leader is responsible for ensuring that all brewery products are packed correctly, safely, and ready for distribution. You will lead a shift team handling bottling, canning, boxing, kegging and palletising, while maintaining a risk‑free work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of packaging and warehousing staff across multiple processes.
• Run shifts, including after‑hours coverage, and ensure shift handover accuracy.
• Maintain compliance with safety, health, HACCP, ISO 22000 and OSHA regulations.
• Implement Manufacturing Excellence strategies and drive continuous improvement.
• Optimize production performance, waste reduction, utility usage and cost elements such as liquid loss and CO₂ consumption.
• Support autonomous maintenance, breakdown coordination and problem‑solving on the line.
• Lead people development, recruitment, performance management and foster a culture of quality and retention.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading packaging or production teams in a food‑beverage environment.
• Strong knowledge of safety, hygiene and food‑safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, OSHA).
• Ability to coach staff, manage shift performance and drive productivity.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
