Operator 3 – Manufacturing Production

About the role

The Operator 3 performs repetitive manufacturing tasks within a world‑class production environment. The role follows clearly defined procedures, equipment usage and safety standards while contributing to high‑performance team targets.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safety adherence on shift and identify hazards.
• Carry out housekeeping, raise tags and conversation cards.
• Maintain specific unit operations such as screen and raw‑material hoist handling.
• Perform autonomous maintenance activities – inspections, cleaning and lubrication.
• Report status of the area, hand over shift reports and escalate deviations.
• Participate in shift and team meetings and drive performance targets.

Required profile

• Grade 12/Matric with Maths and Science (NQF 2).
• 2‑5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Strong understanding of SHEQ, 5S practices and PSM controls.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.

Required skills

• Basic process safety knowledge.
• Basic firefighting and first‑aid knowledge.
• Basic equipment maintenance knowledge.
• Familiarity with 5S methodology.
• Understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) controls.
