National Training & Business Development Manager – South Africa

About the role

The National Training & Business Development Manager will lead Chanel’s brand training strategy across South Africa. Reporting to the General Manager, you will work directly with beauty consultants, sales teams, marketing, and retail partners to ensure high‑quality product knowledge and client service.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver training programmes for Beauty Consultants and other stakeholders using classroom, virtual and on‑the‑job coaching formats (≈70% field work).
• Align training plans with the South African brand strategy and annual sales targets.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to drive business strategy, retail sales growth and CRM initiatives.
• Organise client events, workshops and the yearly national conference, monitoring their impact on sales.
• Manage the training and travel budgets, and handle technical product enquiries.
• Mentor and assess Beauty Consultants, providing performance feedback and action plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience in training, sales or business development within the beauty or luxury retail sector.
• Strong ability to coach and motivate teams on‑site.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse stakeholder groups.
• Capacity to manage budgets and coordinate large‑scale events.
