About the role
This position sits within the Group Communications function of Sanlam, reporting to the Senior Manager of Group Internal Communication. The manager will lead internal communication initiatives, strengthen the internal brand and reputation, and support the Group Communications strategy across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee internal communication channels to keep employees informed and engaged.
- Develop and execute targeted communication plans for key stakeholder groups.
- Produce clear, engaging content across platforms such as articles, speeches, video, newsletters and social media.
- Support and coordinate staff events, managing pre‑, during‑ and post‑event communications.
- Build strong relationships with internal clients, including senior leaders, and manage external agency partnerships.
- Analyse communication data, track performance metrics and provide insights to drive strategic improvements.
- Stay current with communication trends and best practices to enhance the function’s advisory role.
Required profile
- Proven experience in internal communications within a large, diversified organisation.
- Ability to collaborate with senior leaders and manage multiple stakeholder relationships.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience measuring communication effectiveness.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of communication trends and best practices.
