About the role

Our client, located in the West Rand of Johannesburg, is looking for a Logistics Manager to oversee the movement of fresh produce from farm to customer. The role demands a highly analytical and organised professional who can ensure deliveries are made in the correct order and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily logistics operations across the farm, ensuring seamless flow of goods.
• Manage and schedule truck drivers and assistants, monitoring performance and compliance.
• Plan and implement preventative maintenance programmes for trucks and trailers.
• Monitor inventory and delivery schedules to guarantee fresh produce reaches clients promptly.
• Maintain accurate administrative records and utilise computer systems for logistics tracking.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of logistics management experience, preferably in the fresh produce sector.
• Degree or diploma in logistics management or a related field.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Mechanical knowledge for vehicle maintenance oversight.
