Logistics Co‑ordinator

About the role

The Logistics Co‑ordinator will own and optimise inbound and freight logistics flows across ASBIS, ensuring cost‑efficient, compliant, and traceable movement of goods from suppliers to the warehouse and from customers back into the business.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate international and local inbound shipments across air, sea, and road, handling booking, receipt, and dock scheduling.
• Control inbound lead times, cost, and service performance while ensuring accurate documentation.
• Manage import, customs, and regulatory compliance, including HS classification, valuation, Incoterms, and bonded‑warehouse processes.
• Oversee OEM and vendor returns, authorising shipments, adhering to SLA, and recovering value from defective inventory.
• Align with Planning, Sales, Customer Logistics, Finance, and Warehouse teams to provide visibility and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in supply chain, operations or logistics.
• Fluency in English (B2 level) and strong analytical, communication and organisational abilities.
• Knowledge of SARS tariffs is advantageous; FMCG experience preferred.
