Technician (Truck & Trailer Braking Systems)

About the role

Our client in the commercial transport sector is looking for an experienced Air Technician to join their team. You will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining air brake systems on trucks and trailers, both in the workshop and on site.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on truck and trailer air brake systems.
• Conduct inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Repair or replace air valves, compressors, chambers, ABS/EBS components and related parts.
• Perform brake testing to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Attend breakdowns and provide technical support as required.
• Complete job cards and maintenance reports accurately.
• Travel to Botswana for site work and field service support when needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑4 years experience as an Air Technician on trucks and trailers.
• Strong knowledge of truck and trailer air brake systems.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Valid driver’s licence and passport (non‑negotiable).
• Willingness to travel internationally, particularly to Botswana.
• Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
