Litigation Secretary – Vehicle & Asset Finance

About the role

A well‑established legal practice in Lynnwood, Pretoria East is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary with solid Vehicle and Asset Finance (VAF) litigation experience. The role is high‑volume, requiring strong knowledge of banking litigation processes, quick and accurate work, and the ability to meet tight deadlines independently.

Key responsibilities

• Draft affidavits, summonses, Section 129 notices and other banking litigation documents.
• Manage a high‑volume workload of approximately 30 matters per day.
• Liaise professionally with banks, debtors, sheriff offices and other relevant parties.
• Monitor matters closely and ensure strict turnaround times are met.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is handled correctly.
• Work confidently on VAF litigation and legal practice management systems.

Required profile

• 4–6 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary specialising in Vehicle and Asset Finance.
• Strong practical knowledge of banking litigation and VAF recovery processes.
• Relevant legal secretarial or administrative qualification (advantageous).
• Calm, organised and highly accurate under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
