Litigation Executive

About the role

Alpha is seeking an LLB graduate to join its litigation team as a Litigation Executive. The role provides support to senior Litigation Executives and Claims Handlers, managing a civil litigation caseload and ensuring compliance with service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Draft legal documents, applications, offers, orders and directions.
• Attend and contribute to telephone conferences with clients, solicitors and insurers.
• Manage cases in line with SLAs and internal guidelines.
• Review quantum and assess both general and special damages.
• Develop comprehensive case plans to drive litigation progress.
• Conduct telephone negotiations with third parties and clients.
• Liaise regularly with third‑party solicitors, insurers, insurer clients and lay clients.

Required profile

• LLB degree (essential).
• Minimum six months legal experience as an admitted attorney or candidate attorney.
• Experience in civil litigation; familiarity with motor vehicle accidents, Road Accident Fund claims, third‑party claims, contract law and insurance work is advantageous.
• Enthusiastic, self‑motivated and able to meet targets in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong initiative, creative problem‑solving and a professional telephone manner.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Working hours: 9:00 am–6:00 pm or 10:00 am–7:00 pm.
