Last Mile Operations Supervisor – South Africa

About the role

Amazon is seeking a hands‑on Last Mile Operations Supervisor to join its growing delivery network in South Africa. Based at a delivery station, you will be at the heart of the customer experience, ensuring packages move efficiently from fulfillment centres to customers' doorsteps.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inbound package flow, sortation accuracy and staging for dispatch.
• Plan and adjust labour deployment against volume forecasts.
• Resolve real‑time bottlenecks and uphold safety and quality standards on the floor.
• Track and act on delivery metrics such as success rate, concessions and on‑time performance.
• Lead daily stand‑ups and operational reporting.
• Partner with transportation planning teams on capacity and demand alignment.
• Contribute to peak‑readiness, contingency planning and new process launches.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in operations, logistics or a related field.
• Proven ability to manage fast‑paced environments and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
