L1 Support Technician

About the role

We are a fast‑growing IT support company based in Benoni, looking for a proactive L1 Support Technician to join our Johannesburg team. You will be the first point of contact for users experiencing hardware, software, networking, or Microsoft 365 issues, ensuring quick resolution and a smooth end‑user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line technical support to internal and external users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking, and Microsoft 365 problems.
• Perform user setups, password resets, and workstation configurations.
• Escalate complex incidents to senior technicians while maintaining clear documentation.
• Update tickets accurately in the ticketing system and communicate status to users.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of hands‑on IT support experience.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal vehicle.
• Willingness to work onsite in Johannesburg.

Required skills

• Microsoft 365 support.
• Windows desktop support.
• Basic networking concepts (Wi‑Fi, DNS, VPN, LAN/WAN).
• Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
• Exposure to Active Directory and Windows Server.
• CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ or Microsoft certifications (preferred).
