Junior Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Supervisor to join our team on a contract basis in Gauteng. The role focuses on ensuring safe and efficient scaffold erection, dismantling and temporary works on construction sites. You will work closely with site crews to maintain high safety standards and proper equipment condition.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct baseline risk assessments and communicate identified risks to employees.
• Ensure task‑specific risk assessments are performed and appropriate control measures are applied.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Verify that team members are trained and competent for their tasks.
• Provide supervision during scaffold erection and dismantling activities.
• Inspect scaffolds regularly to ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Erect temporary works structures in accordance with relevant standards.
• Report all incidents occurring in the work area.

Required profile

• Ability to conduct and communicate risk assessments.
• Experience or familiarity with scaffold erection and dismantling.
• Competence in maintaining tools and equipment.
• Capability to supervise site crews and ensure training compliance.
• Attention to safety regulations and incident reporting.
