Junior Management Accountant

About the role

The company is looking to recruit an ambitious and energetic junior‑level financial professional to help Candi lead the solar revolution. The role will take ownership of the South African finance team and support the Country Finance Lead in a fast‑growing, innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial and management reports and support month‑end and year‑end close.
• Coordinate supporting documentation for payments, load bank payments and upload bills and invoices onto Xero.
• Manage monthly invoicing, accounts receivable collection and weekly/monthly reconciliations of major accounts.
• Coordinate project accounting with Engineering and Asset Management divisions.
• Handle inventory management, balance‑sheet reconciliations and budget‑vs‑actual reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash management, taxation and VAT submissions.
• Update company secretarial and statutory documents and liaise with auditors.
• Perform other ad‑hoc financial tasks as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in financial accounting and a BCom degree in Accounting.
• Strong technical, financial and management accounting abilities.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with AI tools.
• Excellent communication, reporting and project‑management skills.
• Self‑starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and attention to detail.
