Junior Industrial Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

The Junior Industrial Engineer will join the KZN Midlands manufacturing team to analyse, improve and optimise production processes. You will help reduce lead times, boost efficiency and eliminate waste while supporting continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and other continuous‑improvement projects.
• Facilitate root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving activities across production.
• Monitor and analyse production KPIs (efficiency, downtime, throughput, scrap, lead time) and produce performance dashboards.
• Develop, maintain and enforce Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
• Coordinate improvement projects with production, maintenance, quality and planning teams.
• Ensure all activities comply with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, BTech or National Diploma in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
