IT Technician – Technical Support & Network

About the role

The IT Technician will provide day‑to‑day technical support, maintain hardware and software assets, and ensure the smooth operation of the company’s technology infrastructure. You will work closely with staff across the business to resolve issues quickly and keep systems running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver daily IT support to staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, email, printer and network problems.
• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers and peripheral devices.
• Perform operating system and application updates, routine maintenance and hardware repairs.
• Set up workstations, user accounts and devices for new employees.
• Monitor and maintain company networks, Wi‑Fi, routers, switches and internet connectivity.
• Escalate major network or server incidents and assist with backups and system recovery.
• Ensure antivirus and security software are up‑to‑date and follow IT security policies.
• Document issues, solutions and maintain accurate asset inventory.

Required profile

• Certificate, diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in an IT support or technician role.
• Valid driver’s licence (advantageous).
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, N+, Microsoft or Cisco (advantageous).

Required skills

• Knowledge of computer hardware, software and operating systems.
• Experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
• Basic networking knowledge (routers, switches, Wi‑Fi, TCP/IP).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
