IT Technician – Cape Town

About the role

We are looking for an IT Technician to provide technical support, install and maintain computer systems and networks, and ensure smooth IT operations for our staff in Cape Town.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
• Monitor and maintain network performance, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Assist with managing and upgrading company hardware and software.
• Provide training and support to staff on IT systems and applications.
• Perform routine system backups and data recovery procedures.
• Ensure adherence to security protocols and conduct regular system checks.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows and macOS operating systems, and hardware.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
